ABOUT US

This home, the first level, was built and designed around 1890 by Girgis Shkayr. It was built out of natural stone, wood beams and clay. The first generation lived in the first level till 1960. The family converted the first floor into a barn, built and moved to the second floor around the 1970. Our love and passion for collecting antiques and the country lifestyle we baught the house and decided to convert it into a bed and breakfast.

Influenced by the original design we began collecting old doors, shutters, windows, and cypress beams to restore the house. The attention to these details created an architectural design that truly does capture the old charm of a house found in the countryside of Lebanon.

We turned the house into a Country Arabic and Eurepean style Bed and Breakfast.

The house still admired as one of Area’s most distinct architectural attractions, and our passion for nature and horticulture is evident in the beautiful gardens and landscape. We warmly welcome our guests as they experience a “little piece of heaven on earth”.
